Josh P. Kupferberg ’73

The Kupferberg Family has a long-standing academic, philanthropic, and volunteer relationship with Trinity College. Through their family foundation, Jack and Dorothy Kupferberg enriched their legacy making a scholarship donation in memory of their son, Josh, to honor his achievements in the sciences and mathematics. The scholarship also serves to recognize the multi-generational relationship between the Kupferbergs and Trinity College, with both children and grandchildren attending the College. The scholarship in Josh’s name assists students who intend to study or who are studying natural sciences and/or math as their major subject.

Josh graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Trinity in 1973 with a B.S. in biochemistry and biology. He went on to earn his M.D. and Ph.D. He was an assistant professor at the University of Chicago and then was an associate professor of anesthesiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center until his death in 1998.
